Watercolor painting on Aquabord - March Virtual Paintout

April 09, 2013

In the last couple of months, Virtual Paintout visited a few of Eastern European countries. It is making me more and more homesick. In March, I spent hours virtually walking the streets of Vilnius (Lithuania), which is remarkably like a large Ukrainian city.

I liked using the red ink last time (in "Coffee in Bratislava") and decided to go with it again here. After painting the sky and the church, I felt that I needed some of the red or orange to continue on the left, so I gave myself the liberty of changing the season a bit and painting the trees in fall colors.
