"Q is for Quiet" is one of two paintings I did with the same model, who goes by "Q." She likes to wear dangly earrings and keeps her Afro hair short. Q has a calming and peaceful presence about her and moves with a measured grace. Creating this painting, I am surprised when the timer beeps and she stretches out her long limbs...it felt like only a few seconds, and I've been holding my breath.
